คำถามที่พบบ่อย

What is the Gardasil 4 vaccine?

Gardasil 4 is an FDA-approved vaccine that protects against four types of HPV (6, 11, 16, and 18). It is designed to prevent cervical, anal, vulvar, and vaginal cancers caused by high-risk strains, as well as genital warts caused by low-risk strains.

How does it differ from Gardasil 9?

While both vaccines protect against the four most common and high-risk types (6, 11, 16, 18), Gardasil 9 includes protection against five additional high-risk types. Gardasil 4 remains a highly effective and more accessible option for primary HPV protection.

How many doses do I need?

For adults and those over age 15, a 3-dose schedule is recommended. The typical schedule is administered at 0, 2, and 6 months to ensure the best immune response.

Do I need to see a doctor before getting the vaccine?

A doctor consultation is optional at SESH Clinic. If you are already aware of your vaccination needs or are completing a series, you may opt for the vaccine-only package. However, if you have medical concerns, you may add a consultation for an additional fee.

Are there any side effects?

The most common side effects are mild, such as soreness or redness at the injection site, or a mild headache. These are temporary and usually resolve within a day or two.

Can I get vaccinated if I am already sexually active?

Yes. Vaccination is still highly recommended. Even if you have been exposed to one type of HPV, the vaccine protects you against the other strains included in the 4-valent formula that you have not yet encountered.

Is my vaccination record kept confidential?

Absolutely. Your privacy is our priority. All medical records and vaccination histories are stored securely and handled with the highest level of confidentiality.
