WHAT IS GONORRHEA? Gonorrhea is a common sexually transmitted infection (STI) caused by the bacterium Neisseria gonorrhoeae. It can affect multiple parts of the body, including the genital tract, rectum, throat, and eyes. This infection is primarily spread through unprotected vaginal, anal, or oral sex with an infected partner. Since gonorrhea often presents no symptoms, many people unknowingly carry and spread the infection.

HOW IS HIV TRANSMITTED? HIV is mainly transmitted through:  Unprotected sex (vaginal, anal, or oral) with an infected person  Sharing needles or syringes  Mother-to-child transmission during pregnancy, birth, or breastfeeding Blood transfusions (rare due to strict screening in Thailand) HIV is not spread through casual contact, sharing food, insect bites, or touching someone who has HIV.
